The Clearwater Threshers rebounded from their heartbreaking extra-innings loss on Friday by shutting the Reds out on Sunday after with a 4-0 win. Darren Byrd took the hill for the Threshers and threw six solid innings giving up just four hits and walking none Santo Hernandez and Scott Mathieson mopped up in the bullpen throwing the final three innings of shut out work. Every starter for the team had at least one hit in the game, except for Steve Susdorf who owns the highest batting average by far on the team ... go figure. Dominic Brown picked up the SCHMIDT LIST player of the game award going 2-3 at the plate with 2 RBIs and a walk. These same two team will face off on Monday night if the weather cooperates, but rain is expected all day in Clearwater so we'll have to wait and see. If no baseball gets played tonight we'll wrap up the four game series with a double header on Tuesday night.
