You Win Some & You Lose Some
Threshers Split Double Bill

GAME #1123456 7891011 RHE
Stone Crabs 4 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 2 0 0 7 10 2
Threshers 1 2 0 0 0 0 2 0 2 0 1 3 8 3
Game #2123456 7 RHE
Stone Crabs 0 1 0 0 0 0 1 2 4 1
Threshers 0 0 0 0 0 1 0 1 4 1

Well the first seven inning game of the double bill turned into eleven innings with Cody Overbeck the hero of the game. The Threshers trailed going into the seventh frame by two runs when Cody Overbeck and Jesus Villegas went back-to-back over the left field to tie the game and send it to extra innings.

In the ninth inning the Crabs would go up 7-5, but once again Cody Overbeck rose to the occasion and sent a long ball out of the park with a man on base to tie things at seven each. and send it to the tenth.

The Threshers would go on to win the game in the eleventh inning when Cody Overbeck started the inning off with a single, and then eventually Dominic Brown would drive in the game winner on a single to give the Threshers an 8-7 victory.

THe second game of the night was a pitchers dual. Starter Drew Naylor surrendered a solo home run in the second inning to give the Charlotte Stone Crabs a 1-0 lead, and things would drag on 1-0 until the sixth when the Threshers were finally able to tie the game on a oOminic Brown sac fly to score Javis Diaz.

Unfortunately the Crabs would get a run across in the seventh and win the second game, so in the end it was sort of like kissing your sister. It felt good to start out with, but in the end there was no satisfaction.
