One night after committing five errors and scoring no runs the Threshers headed to Dunedin looking for a little redemption. The team jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, but by the second inning that lead was gone and the Bluejays led 5-1 and would never look back.
The Jays would eventually go up 10-2 before the Threshers rallied to make things respectable falling by a final score of 11-7.
The offense was hot in the game picking up 15 hits in all. The top of the order was especially hot with the top 3 hitters accounting for nine of the team's hits. Fidel Hernandez led the charge with four hits with Dominic Brown pounding three and Freddy Galvis adding two hits. Every other Threshers hitter had one hit in the game.
Unfortunately the Threshers starting pitcher Drew Naylor ran into trouble in the second inning giving up five, and in the fourth inning he gave up five more before Chance Chapman was able to get the Threshers out of the inning. Chapman took the Threshers to the seventh inning with Chris Kissock giving up one run in the seventh, and Michael Schwimer pitched the eighth and final frame striking out every batter he faced.
Dominic Brown earned the SCHMIDT LIST player of the game award with his 3-hit night including a triple, and 3 RBIs in the game.
