Threshers Down Tampa to Avoid Sweep

Joe Savery Holds Tampa to Just 1 Run on 3 HIts

After being held to just one run on Friday night in both games of a double header combined the Threshers offense came out on Saturday and piled up eight runs to down the Yankees in the series finale. Joe Savery threw seven strong innings for the team holding the Yankees to just one run on three hits, and Joe Rocchio closed out the game with two scoreless inning to finish te game.

Fidel Hernandez led the offense with four hits going 4-4 on the night with a double, a triple, an RBI and a run scored. Mike Eylward had three hits with an RBI and a run, while Gus Milner, Michael Taylor and John Urick each had two hits for the team.
