Threshers Fall to Reds In Series Finale

Threshers Rally Late, But Fall Short

The Clearwater Threshers ran into trouble on Friday night as the Reds bats were hot in route to a 10-6 win over the Threshers. The Threshers did manage to rally for five runs after falling down 9-1 in the seventh inning, and the team had some scoring opportunities in the eighth inning to possibly tie the game. Unfortunatley the team could not capitalize and they ended the night with a loss.

PJ Antoniato has been on fire lately and picked up his third SCHMIDT LIST player of the game award of the year with his 3-5 effort at the plate with an RBI and a run. Gus Milner had a solid effort as well with a 3 RBI double to spark the Threshers' rally, and reliever Brian Schlitter threw 2.1 solid innings to stifle the Reds offense and hold the Threshers in the game.
