Threshers Fall to Yankees

Team Now In Must Win Position Going Into Bluejays Series



Well, let's just avoid the details. The Threshers lost to the Yankees on Wednesday, and now are in a critical situation going into the next three games against the dunedin Bluejays.

The Bluejays are on fire in their home stadium right now having won 23 and lost only 5 games there in the second half of the season. The Jays are also on a eight game winning streak as they try to hold on to first place through the end of the year. Dunedin has made the playoffs the last three seasons, so it is about time the Threshers knocked them off and took the final playoff spot for themselves, but as mentioned that is an uproad trek for the team.

Get on out to the park and cheer these guys on. Tampa and Dunedin are both very makeable journeys, so no excuses. (Except that my excuse for missing Friday's game will be that I am in Hutchinson, Kansas helping my grandmother celebrate her 90th birthday.)
