The Threshers easily downed the Sarasota Reds on Friday night behind solid pitching from starter Nate Johnson (starting for the first time since the 2005 season) and relief help from JJ Trujillo and Bear Hill.
Brad Harman kept his hot bat going picking up his eighth hit in the last three games including a home run, while John Urick collected 2 RBIs and 2 walks. Lou Marson went 1-4 but reached on two errors and came in to score both times with Jason Donald reaching on a fielder's choice in his 0-4 effort, but coming in to score a run. Every other Threshers starter picked up at least one hit as a solid team effort resulted in another win.
The win coupled with a Tampa loss puts the team just one game behind both Dunedin (who won tonight) and Tampa who are now tied for first place.
Player in yellow denotes the SCHMIDT List player(s) of the game.
