Andrew Carpenter took the hill for the Threshers coming off of a shutout in his last appearance, and pitched the Threshers to a win again. The win for Carpenter was his twelfth of the year which leads the entire Florida State League. Also, he is now just three wins shy of the all-time Clearwater record of wins in a season (15) set by Ezequiel Astacio in 2003.
The bullpen of Trujillo and Willey got through the eighth and ninth while the offense took care of business all game long. Every starter got one hit in the game with Greg Golson getting his second consecutive 4-5 night to lead the way. Matt Theyer picked up 3 RBIs on a double to help seal the victory, but it was a solid team effort again for the win.
Player in yellow denotes the SCHMIDT List player(s) of the game.
