Brett Myers got a rehab start for the Threshers going 1 1/3 innings, but it was Josh Outman who came on to relieve Myers who really shut the Yankees down for the night.
Meanwhile the offense went to work in route to the team's 7-1 win. Greg Golson lead the way going 4-5 at the plate and he reached on an error in his only uncredited at bat driving in 3 runs and scoring twice.
All-in-all it was a solid team effort as the team picked up a much-needed win on the first place Yankees to close the gap to just 2 games in the division.
Player in yellow denotes the SCHMIDT List player(s) of the game.
