Threshers Top Miracle
Team Now Just one Game Out of First

Threshers starting pitcher Alex Concepcion only gave up four hits in his seven innings of work. Unfortunately those hits were a lead off triple in the first inning followed by an RBI single, and solo home runs in the second and fourth innings that gave the Miracle three runs. Other than that Concepcion was awesome fanning nine batters while walking only two over his seven innings of work.
Fortunately for Concepcion the Threshers offense came to play and gave hime plenty of run support getting eight runs in the game, capped off by a four run inning in the bottom of the seventh inning that assured Alex Comcepcion of a victory in the game.
For the offense plenty of players got involved in the scoring effort. Matt Thayer lead the charge going 3-4 at the plate with 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored in the game. Shaun Boyd chimed in with two hits including a HR and an RBI, while Brad Harman also collected two hits and garnered two RBIs on the night. Jason Donald, Clay Harris and PJ Antoniato each also chimed in with two hits and an RBI each.
The team will now have a day off (as is tradition) for the MLB All-Star game on Tuesday before heading down to Palm Beach for a four game set against the Eastern Division's second best team the Palm Beach Cardinals.
