Florida State League All-Stars Announced

Threshers Earn Five Roster Spots

The 2007 Florida State League in-season All-Star teams were announced today, and the Clearwater Threshers will send five to Daytona for the game.

Pitchers Carlos Carrasco, Andrew Carpenter, and Pat Overholt earned spots as well as catcher Lou Marson, and OF/DH Jeremy Slayden.

The Clearwater Threshers dropped the series opener to the Palm Beach Cardinals 6-4 managing just three hits in the game. The team reached base three more times on errors by the Cardinals, and kept the game close but were unable to capitalize on several late game scoring opportunities.
