BREAKING NEWS: Before I get to today's recap...Mike Zagurski who started this year with the Threshers and quickly moved to AA Reading after a great start has been promoted to the Phillies bullpen. He met the team today in Atlanta and will be with the team to take a roster spot vacated by Brett Myers who went down with an injury on Wednesday night.

Clearwater Threshers lost to the Jupiter Hammerheads. The tea, was only able to put up one run on four hits. Carlos Carrasco held the Hammeheads scoreless until the sixth inning. He walked two hitters before being pulled in favor of reliever Charles Weatherby. Weatherby walked the first batter he faced to load the bases, then gave up a bases clearing double to give the Hammerheads a 3-1 lead.

After three more innings, that is where the game would end. Hammerheads 3, Threshers 1.

Completely off topic, but this is HILARIOUS. A cop in Michigan overdosed by eating brownies his wife baked with marijuana in them. He freaked out and called 911. He is no longer a cop, but also was never charged with any crime. Click here to hear the 911 call.

NOTE: I will be in Texas until the 30th of May. I will make every effort to keep as much of the site as up-to-date as possible, but game recaps will most likely be very minimal while I am gone. I thank those of you who visit this site regularly, and look forward to getting back on track once I return to Florida.

Player in yellow denotes the SCHMIDT List player(s) of the game.
