When you're hot, you're hot, and the Threshers are difinitely hot! With tonight's win the team extended their winning streak to six in a row, including series sweeps of the Lakeland Flying Tigers and the Ft. Myers Miracle. The team has won nine of their last ten, and continue to lead the division with three games upcoming against the second place Sarasota Reds.

In tonight's win the Threshers grabbed an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third when Lou Marson lead of with a single, then moved to third on a Fidel Hernandez double. Marson then scored on a Greg Golson sac fly before the inning would end.

In the fifth inning the Miracle picked up three runs to take the lead at 3-1 on three singles, a walk and a double. The score would remain 3-1 until the seventh when the Threshers cut their deficit to 3-2 when Welinson Baez doubled, and scored later on a Lou Marson double.

That score didn't last long as the Miracle answered with a run in the top of the eighth inning to extend th lead to 4-2. Fortunately the Threshers were not willing to go down that easy as they came out swining in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Victor Hall singled on a line drive to left field to start the inning, but was out when Greg Golson hit into an appearant double play, but Golson's speed allowed him to beat out the throw and reach first safely. Matt Thayer then walked putting men on first and second before Jeremy Slayden singled to score Golson, then Thayer and Slyden advanced to second and third on a fielding error. Clay Harris doubled on a fly ball to center field scoring Thayer and Slayden good for what would be the game winning RBIs, then scored himself on a single from Brad Harman before the inning ended.

The score then stood at 6-4 going into the top of the ninth inning. Brett Harker came in from the bullpen to pick up his team best fourth save of the year to end the game with the Threshers once again in the win column.
