On Monday night Dan Brauer got his first start of the year for the Threshers and pitched five solid innings giving up just one run on six hits with three strikouts and six walks. Andrew Carpenter pitched in with four solid innings of relief holding the Jays to just one more run on three hits with four Ks and three base on balls as the Threshers offense busted out with six runs to even the season opening series at two games each.
Brad Harman lead the offensive charge hitting 3-4 and scoring twice, while John Urick and Lou Marson each had two hits in cluding a double, and 2 RBIs each. Greg Golson and Jeremy Slayden picked up a hit each giving them each at least one hit in each of the first four games. Clay Harris and Matt Thayer each also pitched in with a hit and a run scored as the team once again shared in the glory of a well played game as they picked up their second win of the year.
The team returns home on Tuesday for a four game homestand, but with rain and thunderstorms in the forecast it is not likely that we will see any baseball until Wenesday.
