For the second night in a row the Threshers failed to hold an early lead falling 5-3 to the Dunedin Bluejays.
Carlos Carrasco pitched 5.2 innings giving up no runs on 3 hits, but came up lame on a fielding play in the 5th inning holding his hamstring. He pitched two more outs in the 6th, but was relieved by Cory Willey after a single and a HBP.
Willey got the Threshers out of the 6th, but ran into trouble in the 7th after giving up a single, a walk and a triple that eventually scored to tie the game at 3-3 when reliever Will Savage was credited with a BS on a sac fly.
Savage pitched 2.0 solid frames to hold the game at 3-3, but in the 9th Brett Harker allowed 2 runs on two singles, and a sac bunt leaving runners at 2nd and 3rd. Then an intentional walk to load the bases and a 2 RBI double gave the Jays a 5-3 lead that would prove to be the winner as the Threshers could not rally in the ninth.
