The Threshers kept their winning ways going on Sunday afternoon downing the Ft. Myers Miracle 1-0 in a pitchers dual. Threshers Starter Carlos Carrasco held Ft. Myers scoreless through seven innings on just six hits with Allen Davis giving up no hits over the final two frames.
The Threshers offense had been potent over the last week, but today was held to only one run on four hits by the Miracle's pitching staff. The team's only run came in the fifth inning when Kevin HOward lead off the inning with a walk, and moved to second on a sac bunt from WelFidel Hernandez. Orlando Guevara followed with a single picking up his first RBI of the year good for the victory.
The team has two more at home against the MIracle before heading to Sarasota to face the Reds and hopefully put a little distance between themselves, and the now second place Sarasota Reds.
Player highlited in yellow denotes the SCHMIDT List player(s) of the game.
