After a disappointing outing on Friday the 13th versus the Lakeland squad, the Threshers came out on Saturday looking for a little vindication, and vindication they got. Starting pitcher Dan Brauer was lights out going six innings giving up no runs on only one hit with nine strike outs. The offense was on fire as well serving up ten runs in a solid team effort.
Welinson Baez lead the offensive charge going 2-3 with a home runs and three RBIs. Greg Golson added two hits including a double, Victor Hall knocked two hits with an RBI and two runs, Brad Harman had a hit and two RBIs, with Jeremy Slayden adding a hit and a run to the team's totals.
Along with a Sarasota Reds loss the team's win put them within one game of first place in their division, and will look for a win on Sunday versus the Lakeland team to take the series.
Player highlited in yellow denotes the SCHMIDT List player(s) of the game.
