Josh Outman got the start for the Threshers on Thursday night looking to get on track after making a relief appearance in his only other trip to the mound this year. That outing was not on par for his usual effort and he was looking to make things right and get on track this year.
At first it appeared he may be in trouble when the Yankees picked up a quick run after a walk, a single and a double gave them an early 1-0 lead in the first inning. Outman regained his composure and got the team out of the inning, then threw scoreless frames in the second third before Lou Marson ("Sweet Lou" as the ladies have already nicknamed him) hit a solo shot to tie the game at 1-1.

Lou "Sweet Lou" Marson gets congrats after his solo home run.
After Outman set the Yankees down 1-2-3 in the fourth the Threshers offense went to work and capitalized on some pitching and fielding woes from the Yankees to grab three runs after two walks a single, and a fielding error from the Yankees.
In the fifth inning the Yankees threatened by loading the bases with only one out against Josh Outman, but Cory Willey came in to shut the Yankees down and preserve the 4-1 Threshers lead.
The Yankees picked up a run in the seventh off of Willey to cut the lead to 4-2, but Will Savage and Brett Harker teamed up to preserve the victory with the Threshers coming out on top 4-2 and moving into sole posession of second place behind the red-hot Sarasota Reds who own a near perfect 6-1 record in this young season.
