At the beginning of this week the Threshers were on a roll having won four games in a row, the team was in sole possession of first place in the division, and life was feeling pretty sweet around Brighthouse Networks Field. By Friday night the team's fortunes had taken a turn for the worse. The team had lost four games in a row (all at home) and were now in third place 2.5 games out of the lead.
Saturday the team headed to Lakeland to face the Tigers, and the boys were looking to change the team's fortune and get back on the winning track. Unfortunately the Tigers were not cooperative as their starter Kevin Ardoin went 7.2 innings and dominated the Threshers batters.
The Threshers will have two more shots at the Tigers Lakeland on before a day of rest and a return home on Wednesday.
