While Zack Segovia went to town to dominate the Sarasota Reds hitters, The Clearwater Threshers offense came out to dominate the Reds' pitching.
Segovia went 8.0 inning giving up just two hits, but the offense did not let him down as the team cranked out seven runs to give him his second win of the year.
Brian Burgamy knocked a solo homer in the first inning to put the team up 1-0, and then in the third back-to-back doubles by Avelino Asprilla and Zach Norman gave them a 2-0 lead.
In the fifth inning Brian Burgamy homered for his second time of the game to drive in two runs to put the team up 4-1, and the Threshers would add another in the seenth and eighth innings to cruise to a 6-1 win.
Segovia Looked terrific on the night giving up just one run on two hits in 8.0 innings of work. He surely showed that he has recovered from his surgery of two tears ago and is ready to move up to AA Reading before this year is over.
Threshers fans can only hope that he gives us a few more good outins like this befoe he moves on up.
