The SCHMIDT List player-of-the-game.
Zack Segovia took the hill for the Threshers this evening in his second outing of the year nearly duplicating his effort from his first game. Unfortunately he got no run support and took a loss this time putting his season record at 1-1 even though he had a solid outing on the night.
Segovia held Sarasota in check until the fourth inning when they managed back to back doubles to start the inning and scored their first run, then in the fifth inning it was another double that scored their second run of the game to give them a 2-0 lead.
Meanwhile Reds starter Sam Lecure absolutely dominated Threshers hitters giving up just on hit is his seven innings of work while fanning nine batters. Threshers hitters managed only tow hits on the entire evening as the Reds rolled to victory and bested the Threshers 2-1 in this three game series.
The Threshers will now go to Fort Myers for a tough three game set this Thursday through Saturday to face a strong Miracle team that leads the division, and has suffered just one loss on the year so far.
