OBTAINED: 10th round June 2006 draft.
OTHER: Sam spent 2006 at Batavia posting a 2.67 ERA with an impressive 26K v 6 BB in 30.1 innings of work. He started two games with 17 appearances out of the bullpen. He sat out the entire 2007 season with an injury, and is looking to get back on track with the 2008 Clearwater Threshers.
He began the 2008 campaign as the set up man, but has worked himself into the closer's role, and so far has been impressive leading the team in saves.
