OBTAINED: Free agent.
OTHER: Jared signed with the Slippery Rock Sliders of the frontier league in 2007 after graduating from Wichita State University. He posted impressive numbers and was picked up by the Phillies in 2008. He is from about 20 miles from where I was born, so he will automatically be one of my sentimental favorites for the 2009 season.
