GREG BAUER - RHPHT: 6-1 WT: 195 BORN: 11/30/77 OBTAINED: Minor league free agent. OTHER: Greg attended Wichita State, and was drafted and signed in 2000 by the LA Dodgers. He was with the Dodgers from 2000-2003 and split time in 2004 between the St. Louis AA club the Tennessee Smokies and independent Newark Bears of the Atlantic league. He began the 2005 campaign with the Bears where he was 1-1 with three no-decisions and a 2.20 ERA, which was 6th lowest in the Atlantic League. He had struck out 23 batters in 32.2 innings of work, having worked the 4th most innings of any pitcher in the league so far this season. This is the second straight year that Bauer started the season with Newark and was signed by a Major League organization.
